The needy villagers of Biabou, New Prospect, Bridgetown, Cedars, Spring Estate and Peruvian Vale received Christmas gifts this year when the two sisters brought them Christmas Cheer.

Yvonne and Silma grew up in Biabou. Yvonne, the elder of the two sisters, migrated to Trinidad and Tobago before relocating to the United States of America. Silma, on the other hand, left these shores eighteen years ago for the United States of America. They related that they are aware of the needs of many persons in the community and, therefore, have seen it fit to be involved in this worthwhile gesture, especially as Christmas is a time for

sharing.

The distribution spanned over one week during which numerous packages were taken to the homes of those who needed the support. Though it is the first time the sisters are involved in this venture, it will not be the last as they have already pledged to make it an annual event.

The pre-school, the primary school and the health centre in the community were also beneficiaries of school and medical supplies.
