At a special ceremony on Wednesday, 10th December, which brought together board members of the NLA, staff members and members of the media at the conference room of Murray Heights Hotel, the website was introduced to the public.
Considered a process that has been a long time coming but nevertheless better later than never, the site: www.svgnla.com gives the general public and customers an alternative to calling the companyâs Paulâs Avenue headquarters for draw results.
Not only are the results for the last draws available, but customers can also check previous winning numbers, since results from months past are archived on the site.
A brief tour of the site by Product Development Officer Anthony Dennie revealed that the more than one hundred lottery agents and their locations were also listed.
Previous jackpot winners, the various games and current promotions being held by the NLA are also found on the site, along with the companyâs social commitment, projects and sponsorships can be found online.
General Manager of the NLA Montgomery Sealy, speaking at the websiteâs launch, called the website a new dimension in the development of his organization.
He said that although the site should have been on stream years ago, it is better to be later than never.
âWe trust and hope that the general public would visit this website regularly and get their information. We would not have to be answering questions about what the number is and who won what; itâs all there.â(JJ)
