President of the Helping Hands Centre Junior Bacchus received the donation and related how grateful he was for the timely intervention. He explained how costly it is to run the school bus, which transports their disabled children to and from the centre. âWe were contemplating having to terminate the bus service,â he admitted.
Bacchus further commended Headmistress Andrea Bowman on the construction of a ramp at the GHS that will facilitate the easy passage of a wheelchair-bound student around the school premises. âMore establishments should emulate this!â he declared.
A Form 2 Jacobs student – the form that had raised the most money, presented Bacchus with the cheque. (JSV)
