It’s all because of FirstCaribbean’s 2008 Adopt-a-Cause programme which saw FirstCaribbean assisting nineteen students with much needed uniforms and school supplies. Children from primary schools in Rose Hall, Barouallie, Spring Village, Adelphi, Owia, Clare Vallley, Troumaca, Evesham, Cane End, Fair Hall and Kingstown are this year’s beneficiaries of FirstCaribbean Bank’s generosity and corporate responsibility.

The students were provided with full uniforms, books and other school supplies for the entire school year at a cost of well over five thousand Eastern Caribbean Dollars. The children were identified and selected by the Ministry of Education, the Welfare Department and the respective school principals as being most in need of FirstCaribbean’s generosity. Last year’s beneficiaries of the Adopt A Cause Programme were the students and staff of the Park Hill Government School.

FirstCaribbean celebrates its sixth anniversary in October and has distinguished itself as a leading corporate entity with a demonstrated commitment to developing the region, since its inception. Adopt-A-Cause is a social responsibility program that demonstrates the bank’s commitment to the people of the Caribbean.
