Fuel prices take a dive at the pump

A decrease in the price of fuel is expected to have consumers breathing a sigh of relief at the gas pumps.{{more}}

The price control amendment number nine of 2008, passed on Monday, saw gasoline, dieselene and kerosene prices going down by one dollar or more.

According to a Cabinet release dated September 17th, 2008, the maximum wholesale price at bulk installation for gasoline is $13.73 per gallon, with a maximum retail price of $14.33 per gallon.

The maximum wholesale price for diesel is now $13.49, with a maximum retail price of 14.00 per gallon, and kerosene now carries a maximum wholesale price of $13.50 per gallon, with $14.10 being the maximum retail price.

Just over one month ago, a hike in these commodities saw diesel going for $15.50 per gallon, gasoline, $15.33, and kerosene, $15.10 per gallon.
