SVGS boys win Bible quizzes

Two students of the St. Vincent Grammar School received prizes from Scriptural Search on Tuesday, 16th September, 2008, at the school’s General Assembly.{{more}}

The two, Israel Carr and Ahron Richards, were the winners of the Secondary School Bible Quiz for June and Scriptural Search Open Bible Quiz held during the summer vacation, respectively.

Scriptural Search is a unique interactive Bible Discussion Programme heard on WEFM 99.9 each Tuesday at 6:00p.m. Each month a Bible Quiz is held for Students of all Secondary Schools and Technical Vocational Institutes in SVG.

Either of the following methods is used to respond to the quiz: postal services, email or text. The organizers are confident that an increased knowledge and correct application of the word of God can have a beneficial effect on the youth of the nation.

The prizes, each containing a Bible and $100.00 cash, were presented by Rohan Hector, following an explanation of the programme by Joel Jack. Deputy Headmaster of the school Mr. Nigel Scott called on more students to participate in the exercise, not only for the prize to be gained but for the experience of searching the scriptures and the knowledge that can be gained.
