The project, which was based in the Marriaqua Valley, saw the young parents being provided with information about various topics such as HIV/AIDS, anger management, reproductive health, food and nutrition, among others.

The graduation ceremony, which took place at the Marriaqua Community Centre, was funded through the National AIDS Secretariat.

Feature speaker at the function Margaret Lewis John urged the participants to continue in the positive direction they are headed, and promised to assist the group in the form of skills and employment training.

The SVGPPA is expected to embark on a number of other projects in the near future in Bequia, Fancy and Owia, with the assistance of the HIV Alliance.

The first parenting programme was held in Spring Village.
