Digicel Appoints Caribbean Card Technology Company as main Top Up Card Distributor

This week, Digicel, St. Vincent and the Grenadines leading mobile service provider, announced the appointment of Advance Business Systems Inc. (ABS Inc.) as its principal Top Up cards distributor{{more}}. This is a natural fit for ABS who already provides the electronic Top Up and Mobile Top Up service to Digicel customers representing such popular brands as QPoint, DataCard, Verifone, MagTek, Honeywell and Johnson Controls.

“Digicel in this latest move has once again underscored the fact that it will focus on the delivery of its core business, which is providing a world class telecommunications service,” said Sonia Polius, Digicel Country Manager, “while partnering with other world class service providers ensuring that the customer always gets the best quality service that we can provide.”

From its inception, the business model adopted by Digicel has been to outsource key areas of its business such as the acquisition and distribution of handsets and the sale and distribution of its Top Up cards, among others.

“We are delighted to be able to continue our service to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines by taking responsibility for the supply and distribution of Digicel Top Up cards,” said Harry Gibson, Assistant Manager of ABS Inc.

ABS Inc. will have as sub-distributors Howard’s Driving School, which has built an impressive network of dealers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Sprotts Bros, which will make cards available from the downtown store location.
