Over EC$31,000 donated to Vincentian students

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade Sir Louis Straker on Wednesday handed over a total of EC$31,000 to 73 primary and secondary school students throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

The money was contributed by Vincentians nationals and other benefactors in the United Kingdom through the efforts of St. Vincent and the Grenadines High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Cenio Lewis.

Sir Louis was joined by his Cabinet colleagues – Rene Baptiste, Jerrol Thompson and Selmon Walters, and Minister of State, Conrad Sayers, who also assisted with the distribution of envelopes to students from their constituencies.

Minister Straker thanked the High Commissioner as well as Nationals and friends in the United Kingdom who, for the fourth time, have made these donations to needy students possible.
