Information reaching SEARCHLIGHT indicates that the girl, who is from Vermont and attends a Kingstown secondary school, was seen trying to escape a middle-aged looking man who was pursuing her through the streets of Kingstown.
She ran into the library shortly after 4 Oâclock and was followed shortly after by the man who scuffled her by her neck and argued with her as she tried to go upstairs.
The girl, sources indicate, eventually went upstairs, borrowed a book and sat down reading. The man followed her, took a book and sat down also.
After reading for a short while, she tried to head downstairs and was again confronted by the man.
The girl was heard telling the man that she did not want him âanymoreâ.
The security guard eventually intervened and ordered them both out of the library. When last seen, the girl was seen running through Middle Street, with the man in hot pursuit.(KJ)
