ECCB Training Course ends with graduation

On Saturday, July 12th, 2008, sixty-two participants graduated from the ECCB/ECIB & FS/ UWI third Savings and Investment Training course which was held from March 29, to June 6, 2008, at an official ceremony and Cocktails which were held at the Paradise Beach Hotel, from 7.00 p.m.{{more}}
The course covered Topics such as: Personal Financial Planning, Factors affecting Financial Decisions, Development of a plan to reach Financial goals, Types of Investment Instruments, How to protect oneâs self against Financial risk, Types of Financial markets, How securities are bought and sold, Regulation of Financial Markets, Factors that affect Price and Developing and managing your Investment Portfolio.
The ceremony was addressed by Local Co-ordinator of the ECIB & FS, Cheryl Rodriguez, ECCB Resident Representative, Elritha Dick, President of the ECIB & FS, Errol Allen. The Feature Speaker was Felix Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of the Centre for Enterprise Development.
Wade Carter delivered remarks on behalf of the graduates and Ciclyn Joseph rendered the vote of thanks on behalf of all. Errol Allen, President of the ECIB & FS, distributed the certificates to the graduates, who spoke highly of the training and are looking forward to forming an Investment Club in SVG.
The local graduates are joining the ranks of over seven hundred graduates from the OECS. Investment Clubs have already been formed in St Kitts, Headquarters of the ECCB and ECIB & FS.
A 4th course will be offered later in the year.
