New political movement to be launch next week
A new political movement will be launched here next week.
The PEOPLE?S MOVEMENT FOR CHANGE will be presented to the public on July 31st, 2008 at the Peace Memorial Hall at 5:00 p.m.{{more}}
A release from lawyer Jomo Thomas, one of the organizationâs founders said âYou will have the opportunity to hear from some of St. Vincent and the Grenadines ? most committed and concerned social and political thinkers on why this movement is important for the progressive and sustainable development of our country.â
Among those slated to address the gathering are Oscar Allen, Dr Richard Cox, Ronnie Daniel, Marlon Stephenson and Jomo Thomas.
âCome let us begin an open and honest dialogue about the difficulties confronting our country and the opportunities arising out of the same. We the people hold the key to all of our problems and your presence will help to continue the journey of enhancing critical consciousness and making positive change for the benefit of this nation,â the release said.
âOnly we the people can determine what kind of movement our country needs, indeed deserves. Therefore, the People?s Movement for Change is your movement; our movement and we all must determine what it should be. So come and help shape this The People?s Movement for Change with your thoughts and ideas. There is no obligation or requirement except love for this, our blessed landâ the release ended.
