RJR coming with Digicel Red Dawn

Digicel Red Dawn, that’s the name of this year’s RJR Promotion for J’Ouvert. According to Jerry Howard, one of the managers of RJR Promotions, “This is the second time we are doing Red Dawn, but this year we are going bigger and better with Digicel. It is a deep relationship that we have with Digicel and we are definitely on board with them because their support has been definitely overwhelming and they always reward their customers,” said Howard.{{more}}

Howard encourages patrons to come out and support RJR this year because “We will be enforcing the no bottle policy. We will also have maximum security and a free bar, and persons don’t have to worry about using the bathrooms because we will be having mobile toilets so that persons jumping with us can use the bathroom if they wish to”.

The Digicel Red Dawn action this year will start from the Ministry of Transport Car Park at 12 midnight and run to 5 a.m., at which time revelers will take to the road sporting their paint. Howard explained that EC$40 will get you paint, glow glasses, a bandana, free white oak, Pepsi, Mountain Top Water and specials on Carib Beer. There will also be performances by popular soca artistes.

Functioning under the Motto, “RJR-A whole lot of clean fun”, Howard says that the promotions are done in such a way that persons can have not only fun but, “Enjoy good clean fun as we strive to portray not vulgarity, but good clean fun. We also restrict certain tunes because of the content and we strive for good character and clean fun in our partying”.

Marketing Manager at Digicel Juno DeRoche said that Digicel teamed up with RJR Promotions because “We were trying to identify with different cultural activities and we saw RJR as a group that was trying to improve J’Ouvert celebrations and entertainment on a whole in St.Vincent and the Grenadines”.
