The marriage and family conference begins today, Friday, May 30th, and continues on Saturday, May 31st, at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown.

Today’s session begins at 7 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m., while the Saturday session begins at 8 a.m. until three in the afternoon.

According to head of the Glen Baptist Church Pastor Sylvester King, the conference aims to unmask issues contributing to the breakdown of marriages and families in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, facilitate interaction among married couples and families and create an environment to refresh, renew and restore commitment for the sanctity of the institutions.

The two-day event will be facilitated by Pastor Peter Pinder and his wife Joycelyn.

The Bahamian couple are considered well equipped to deal with the topics to be covered at the conference; he is, among other things, the host of a radio programme titled ‘marriage and family’, while Mrs. Pinder is an Education Officer in the Ministry of Education in the Bahamas.

Interested persons can contact Pastor King or Yvonne Williams of the Glen Baptist Church for more information. (JJ)
