Stevenson attends workshops in Taipei

President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Small Business Association Marlon Stevenson is now in Taiwan participating in a series of workshops over a two week period.{{more}}

These workshops are targeted at Small and Medium Enterprise development. The overall workshop is entitled “Accessing International Markets-Taiwan SME Experience”

While in Taiwan, Stevenson will make a number of field visits, including one to the National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Topics to be covered during the workshop include: Credit Guarantee and SME Financing; SME Development and Strategy in Taiwan; Effective Trade promotion Strategy

The Establishment and Operation of Incubator Centre for SME – Textile Industry.

Stevenson said that he looks forward to learning as much as he possibly can to lead the same or similar initiatives here in St. Vincent and the Grenadines as we make our march forward in this post colonial period.

Stevenson’s attendance at the workshop was facilitated by the local Embassy of the Republic of China on Taiwan.

The workshops are being held in Taipei and Taichung.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Small Business Association will begin a series of consultations with small business persons later this year with the assistance of the Private Sector Development Programme.
