The youngsters played in the bouncing castle, sang songs, had Nancy stories read to them, and later a magician showed them tricks that had them wide eyed in amazement.

But the fun didn’t end there; races were held in categories ranging from the tiny tots to the senior citizens, to the hefty size to slender figures.

Digicel Flagship “The Cell Store” Manager Jacqui Rowlins-Martin, who was the initiator of the event, said the idea to host a fun day through Digicel came about when she observed that many of the children in her village of Buccament had nothing to do during the holidays.

Rowlins-Martin was of the opinion that many of the events that cater to children were usually held in the Kingstown or Windward areas, and said youngsters on the Leeward end needed more support.

The Retail Store Manager thanked Digicel and other sponsors for their kind assistance for the “May Day, May Day-Kids Day” and noted that Digicel was a company that cares for everyone throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines.
