Joan Joseph, Raquel Frederick, Heidi Badnock, Jomokie Phillips, Aidon Shearman, and Arvid Shearman received the ACER computers at a short ceremony on Tuesday. Joseph has been admitted to University of the West Indies (UWI) Campus at St. Augustine, Trinidad; Frederick will go to Smith University in Massachusetts, USA; the other four will all pursue their studies at the UWI Campus at Cave Hill, Barbados.

Knowing that the students still have a few months before they leave to study, Ambassador Cheng encouraged them to work hard while they are still here to gather as much work experience as possible. This, he said, would enhance their understanding about the real world outside the world of academics. The students were also encouraged to study very hard after August and to make those who have been supporting them very proud.
