George, Butcher walk across Bequia
Residents of Bequia as well as visitors to the Island gave their full endorsement to the âMillion Dollar Walkâ last weekend.{{more}}
Confirmation of this was given through their support and donations along the route as legends Earl âOle Georgeâ Daniel and Joel Butcher, accompanied by other well wishers, walked across Bequia for the Bequia leg of the âMillion Dollar Walkâ. Further support was also given when the organising committee partnered with Bequiaâs own âCountry Relativesâ to thrill patrons with their wide repertoire of country music.
The âMillion Dollar Walkâ series will move to Barbados on May 10 and will climax with the record breaking eight day walk without sleep by the two walking legends from New York to Toronto in July this year.
The Rotary Club of St Vincent South and the âMillion Dollar Walkâ organising committee look forward to the continued support of all individuals and the business sector as they raise funds for the purchase of equipment to advance the ongoing International Hospital for Children project and allow surgeries for the children of St Vincent & The Grenadines and the wider Caribbean; this, while they facilitate the recognition of the feat of the two walking legends by the Guinness Book of Records.
