Pan Against Crime goes to Chateaubelair

The “Pan Against Crime” programme moves into Chateaubelair this Sunday, March 9, 2008. The concert will be held at the Chateaubelair playing field, commencing at 4:00 p.m.{{more}}

Addresses will be delivered by representatives of several organizations, including the Ministries of National Security and Culture, the Youlou Pan Movement, and National Youth Commission. Pastor Carlton Edwards of the Chateaubelair Pentecostal Church will deliver the exhortation.

Performances will come from the Elite Steel Orchestra, Troumaca Primary School, Troumaca Secondary School, Westwood Methodist, Fitz Hughes and Chateaubelair Schools, Rose Hall drummers, among other acts.

The Police Band will be in attendance. The Pan against Crime Songs will be featured. Lennox Bowman’s “Ah Pan Ah Pan”, sung by Shanelle Mc Kenzie, has been selected as the theme song for the Pan Against Crime Campaign.

Under the theme “Play a Pan, Arrange a song, Build the mind, down with Violence and Crime”, the programme’s next stop will be at the Rabacca Bridge on Sunday, March 16.
