Ambris marks 100 birthday

Catherine Agatha Ambris, a resident of Biabou, is this country’s most recent centenarian. She reached that milestone on February 12, 2008. She is a devout Methodist.{{more}} When the members of her church visited her at home she was in high spirits. Although hearing impaired, she remembers her John and Charles Wesley’s hymns, and sings them well.

A beautiful bouquet was presented to her on behalf of the Governor General His Excellency Sir Frederick Ballantyne who was unable to visit her on her big day.

Ambris’ caregiving services come through the Ministry of National Mobilization home help programme and her son Anesto.
