Commissioner Miller: Scrutinize lyrical content of music

The Commissioner of Police, Keith Miller, convened a meeting at Police Headquarters Conference Room on January 21, 2008, with senior members of the Police Force and managers of the various Radio Stations.{{more}}

The meeting was initiated to solicit the managers’ commitment to scrutinize the lyrical content

of music being aired, which promotes violence, lawlessness and lewdness.

The discussions were frank and a number of issues were ventilated.

The managers gave a commitment to support the efforts of the police by ensuring that such music is not played on their radio stations.

The Commissioner of Police scheduled another meeting with the Disc Jockeys (DJs) which was scheduled for Wednesday, January 23.
