C.W. Prescod pays respects to Kendra
âI know you are going to miss her, but remember, in everything give thanks,â were the words of consolation given to Kendra Jeffreyâs parents by principal of the C.W. Prescod Primary School, Hyacinth Harry.{{more}}
Harry was speaking at a memorial service held on Thursday, November 29, at the school, in memory of Kendra, a former
student who perished in a fire at her home at Kingstown Hill on Wednesday, November 20.
âGod knows the reason why he took her away. Let us all remember the good things about Kendra,â Harry continued. She encouraged Kendraâs parents that, although they have to mourn, they must not mourn forever, but remember the good things that she did during her short time on earth.
The principal described Kendra as a very nice person who always spent her lunch and recess in class singing and dancing with her friends.
The school also made a monetary donation to Kendraâs parents during the service. Kendra was eight years old and was in Grade three when she died. (SB)
