NESDEC to host two-day workshop

The National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDEC) is coordinating a two-day workshop aimed at examining the state of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}} The workshop, which is entitled âStronger NGOs, Stronger Communities for a Stronger Nationâ, will place critical focus on the current state of NGOs and CBOs in St. Vincent and the Grenadines; assess strengths and weaknesses, air concerns and engage in discussions with representatives from a cross-section of NGOs and CBOs currently functioning in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This workshop will take place at the Kingstown Methodist Church Hall on Tuesday, November 20 and Wednesday, November 21, 2007. It will run from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. daily.

NESDEC has urged all NGOs and CBOs to participate in this vital workshop, which aims to strengthen the role played by NGOs and CBOs in National Development.
