PM in Montserrat on official visit

Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves is now in Montserrat where he is the guest of the Chief Minister of Montserrat.{{more}}

During his visit to Montserrat the Prime Minister, who left the state on Wednesday, met with members of the Legislative Council and the Governor.

Prime Minister Gonsalves delivered the Annual Police Lecture to the Royal Montserrat Police Force on Thursday, November 8, 2007, and was the Guest of Honour at a dinner hosted by the Police Force. These activities are part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations for Police Week in Montserrat.

The Prime Minister leaves Montserrat today, and will travel to Barbados on Monday, November 12, 2007, where, according to a release from his office, he will be the key speaker on Day One of the Caribbean International Leadership Summit.

Prime Minister Gonsalves will present an address entitled “Analysing Yesterday and Creating for Tomorrow: The Scope for Creativity and Innovation in Public Sector Reform – Its Implications for Private Sector Development”.

Dr. Gonsalves will be among a list of top international and regional business executives, including the legendary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of General Electric Jack Welch, as well as this country’s own Dr. Julian Ferdinand, CEO of the Eastern Caribbean Group of Companies. The Prime returns to the state on Tuesday, November 13, 2007.

Minister Mike Browne, is Acting Prime Minister in Dr. Gonsalves absence.
