More US books for SVG schools

The United States government has given another set of books to schools in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

Political Officer with the United States Embassy to the Eastern Caribbean Arend Zwartjes, presented 45 books to the Troumaca Secondary School and 25 to the Barrouallie Secondary School on Wednesday October 24th, 2007, at Peace Corps Headquarters.

This latest donation brings to 236 the number of books the Embassy has donated to the children of St. Vincent and the Grenadines this month.

Earlier this month Zwartjes presented 116 books to the Public Library and fifty books to the Bequia Anglican Primary School and the Paget Farm Primary School respectively.

The books published by Scholastic, include hard cover and paperback, fiction and non-fiction. They are all beautifully illustrated and are suitable for elementary to lower secondary aged children.
