US donates to Public Library

The Public Library will receive a major donation next week when the United States government presents 116 children’s books to Director Joan O’Garro.{{more}}

The presentation, which takes place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 17, 2007 at the Kingstown Public Library, will be made by Arend Zwartjes, a Political Officer from the United States Embassy in Bridgetown.

The books, published by Scholastic, include hard cover and paperback fiction and non-fiction. They are all beautifully illustrated and are suitable for elementary to lower secondary aged children.
