According to a release from SVGBC, the group is entering a period of transition through a complete rebranding of the organization and all three of its brands: SVGTV, HitzFM and EZee Radio.

The release said that Sealey is responsible for all aspects of the Corporation’s marketing strategy and communications, including brand identity, the SVGBC website, advertising development; public relations, developing and managing the sales team, and, by extension, developing and building relationships with existing and new partners of the Corporation.

“Miss Sealey brings international experience, as well as a deep understanding of marketing initiatives and business development,” said Paul MacLeish, Managing Director.

Sealey comes to the SVG Broadcasting Corporation from Mintel International Group in London, U.K (a leading global supplier of Market Intelligence and a consultancy firm), where she most recently was the International Account Manager for the UK, Southern Europe & Scandinavian markets and the Public Relations Executive. While at Mintel International Group, she worked with clients such as Twentieth Century Fox- Europe, Warner Bros.Entertainment- Europe, Nickelodeon UK, The Walt Disney Company, Royal Caribbean Cruises- EMEA, the Caribbean Tourism Organization, and Virgin Atlantic, among others, to help them identify new sales & marketing opportunities and improve targeting.

She holds a 1st Class Hons degree from the University of Brighton, United Kingdom, in International Tourism Management, Marketing and Spanish, and is in the final stages of her Master’s in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, based in the United Kingdom.

She is also fluent in both French and Spanish, and holds several professional qualifications from the Institute, including Brand Management, Marketing, Tourism Marketing and Project Management, among others. Last but not least, she has years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry in the USA, U.K, and locally, including being an industry trainer, as well as being involved in Human Resources Management & training in non- tourism areas.

Since arriving in St. Vincent over the past few months, she has also been involved in a few local consultancy projects.

Maxian Harry in his new role will be overseeing programming for the television and both radio stations, particularly focusing on programme structuring and scheduling. Maxian joined the corporation in 1998 as the co-host of the Morning Show. He then moved over to being the Sales Manager in 2003. He brings a wealth of experience to the new role. “I think I can make a difference in the programming aspect and would certainly like to give the Television station a new face in its programming,” he stated. Harry is looking forward to working with the staff to make this a reality.

Harry commenced his media career at the National Broadcasting Corporation as an Announcer, and was promoted to Programme Assistant. He holds several qualifications in the field, including a Diploma in Broadcasting from CARIMAC UWI Mona Campus, Jamaica, and certificates in broadcasting from the National Institute of Communication in Venezuela, as well certificates in Radio Production and Radio Documentary from UNESCO SVG and UWI, Cave Hill, Barbados.
