Salvation Army Major is new head of Christian Council

The Christian Council announced on Wednesday that due to the appointment of Bishop Rivas O.P. of the Roman Catholic Church as Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Castries, they have had to make the following changes to the Executive, with effect from Thursday, 27th September, 2007:{{more}}

• President – Major Henry King of the Salvation Army
• Vice President (Ag) – Rev. Victor H. Job of the Methodist Church

The Council would like to publicly thank His Grace Archbishop Rivas for his invaluable service to the Ecumenical Movement in St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the past eighteen years.

The Council wishes him God’s richest blessings as he serves in another part of God’s vineyard.

Archbishop Rivas takes up his appointment on October 14th, 2007.
