Vincentians awarded British Chevening scholarships
Vincentians Suenel Fraser and Veneita Primus have won British Government awards to pursue one-year postgraduate studies in the UK. Fraser will be studying for an LLM in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law at the University of Strathclyde, and Primus will be attending the University of Lancaster, where she will pursue an MSc in Project Management.{{more}}
Fraser is a Crown Counsel with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, and Primus is an Administrative Assistant in the Education Project Management Unit.
The British Chevening Scholarships are offered in collaboration with various universities and private enterprise, and each award covers course fees, airfare to and from the UK, and a monthly stipend.
Applications are now being invited for the scholarship programme for the 2008/09 academic year. The closing date for receipt is 31 October 2007, and further information may be obtained from the British High Commission or from www.britishhighcommission.gov.uk/barbados.
