Until now, viewers have had the opportunity to select two finalists from each of the eight countries in the Eastern Caribbean that they believe could be the next Digicel Rising Star.
Now the competition heats up even further as the talent, temperament and guts of the contestants get further tested in front of a live audience.
Large crowds are expected to turn out to the Live Shows, which will be held at the Party Stand in the heart of Bridgetown, Barbados. [Free tickets are available to customers from Digicel Stores all over Barbados – Barbados only]
Vincentian Kyron Baptiste is the reigning Digicel Rising Star, but the contenders to his title have now separated themselves from the pack, and competition is expected to be fierce from the word go.
âRising Stars makes stars out of previously unknown talents,â said Errol McGlothan, Digicelâs Marketing Director for the Eastern Caribbean. âWe are looking forward to finding out where the next Rising Star will come from?â
âThe regionâs favorite television show is once again offering an extraordinary opportunity for talented singers to perform before TV viewers right across the Eastern Caribbean,â said McGlothan, âand to become household names, with the chance to take the title âDigicel Rising Starâ with a publishing contract.â
This weekend, the first eight finalists will appear before the live audience. Each country will be looking to see what happens to their entrant as they are voted upon during the following week. Ultimately, it is the best talent that will win.
