World Peace Day Rally today

The National Commission on Crime Prevention will be holding a Peace Rally to observe World Peace Day today. The Peace Rally will be held at Heritage Square beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at approximately 12:15 p.m.{{more}}

A number of groups, including uniformed bodies, Neighbourhood watch groups and religious organisation and members of the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines police Force are expected to attend the rally.

As part of its objective to educate the populace on crime prevention techniques and work in partnership to stop crime and violence, the Commission will also be embarking on a series of promotional and outreach programmes throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines. These include visits to schools and Parent/Teacher Association, Uniformed Institutions and Community Groups.

The National Commission on Crime Prevention is encouraging the public to partner with them as they strive to “Build a Culture of Peace”. The National Commission on Crime Prevention was established on February 20, 2004.
