CDC launches 2008 Carnival promotion

The Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) has commenced promotion of Vincy Mas 2008 at Labour Day celebrations in New York. Over the last few years, the CDC has been utilizing the captive Vincentian, Caribbean and American market at Labour Day to launch promotional activities for Vincy Mas, in conjunction with Vincentian businesses and mas bands in New York.{{more}} Over one million persons attend Labour Day celebrations on Eastern Parkway, and millions more view the events on television.

This year, the CDC worked with Standard Shippers to produce a T-shirt band, along with a float with banners, posters, and other advertising material, accompanied by a local musical band and top local soca artistes. The CDC also collaborated with the mas band “Carnival Players International” in their production for Labour Day.
