Shamona placed 321 for females and 542 overall in the 2007 Common Entrance examination. She will be attending Bishopâs College Kingstown at the beginning of the new school year.
President of the Nurses Association Sister Beverly Liverpool stated the members of the Nurses Association are happy to assist their colleague in whatever way possible.
Shamona was elated, and expressed gratitude to the SVG Nurses Association. She said she has her eyes set on a Nursing career, to pick up from where her mother left off.
The second scholarship was awarded to 11-year-old Shonette Small of Petersville Primary School. She placed 68 for females and 106 overall. She is the daughter of Staff Nurse Glenda Small and Morris Small of Ruthland Vale, Layou.
Shonette will be attending the Girlsâ High School at the beginning of the school year. Shonette was happy and thankful for the scholarship; she aspires to be a Pediatrician.
This is the first time that the SVG Nurses Association is awarding two scholarships in one year.
