The St.Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard made a major drug bust on Wednesday when they seized a quantity of marijuana with an estimated street value of EC$2, 264, 400.{{more}}

The seizure took place at Larikai Bay on the North Leeward coast of the island at about 10:30 a.m.

Approximately 31 packages of compressed and taped marijuana, weighing 1,258 pounds or 571,132 grammes were retrieved.

No one was arrested and charged in the drug bust.

The matter is being investigated.
