Sir Louis was last Wednesday, August 8, sending 61st birthday greetings to Dr Gonsalves, who at the time had just concluded a two-week trip to Taiwan and Malaysia, and was on his way to a Petro Caribe meeting in Venezuela.

“We could not have a greater leader for this time as our Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsalves,” said Sir Louis, adding that Dr Gonsalves has placed St Vincent and the Grenadines on the world map.

Describing Dr Gonsalves as an illustrious son of the soil, Sir Louis, flanked by several government ministers said that he was extremely happy to have been given the opportunity to work with him.

“He is a very capable, affable, congenial Prime Minister, who has been doing a great job in leading this country into a modern, post colonial country,” said Sir Louis.

Sir Louis said that the prayers of most Vincentians is that the Prime Minister will continue to enjoy good health, longevity, and the intellectual vigor and energy to continue to lead this country and this government.

Sir Louis said that Dr Gonsalves is well beloved in the region and around the world, and should be even more loved in his homeland. (KJ)
