The former Trade Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade was appointed to his new position on June 25th, and says that he is relatively comfortable to date, and that he has a very good relationship with his new staff.

Speaking to Searchlight following the press conference to announce the ministerial games, Williams said he is quite capable of rising to the challenges that he expects as the job progresses, and acknowledged the fact that some issues may be more challenging than others.

Williams’ ministry is expected to have a major role in the total transformation of the public sector, which he said would make the public service more relevant.

He replaced Shirla Francis in a mini reshuffle, which also affected the Ministry of Telecommunications and the Ministry of Agriculture. (JJ)
