In 2002, the singer, whose real name is Zoelah Boyd, toured North America while a member of the band Signal. She described the tour as a learning experience, and is looking forward to going at it alone this time around.
Zolah will be appearing at the JâOuvert fete taking place this Caribana Weekend, along with a number of international acts, including SVGâs very own road march king Problem Child.
She is slated to perform at other events in other cities while in Canada, and hopes to do some gigs in the US as well.
The sexy songstress of âGo Down Lowâ and âFly Awayâ said that she plans to give her best while performing abroad, and hopes that more doors will open to her while overseas.
Here at home, she noted that she is enjoying her role as a Digicel spokesperson, and enjoyed her stint doing commercials for Courts; two lucrative spill offs from her successful year to date.
Fans can expect a music video to be launched when she returns home, and next year, she promises an album, which should include a remix of her first solo effort âKicking Dustâ.
A number of other local artistes are scheduled to make tours overseas, including Zolahâs Digicel counter part Alla G, who is slated to perform in the US and Canada. (JJ)
