Lady luck smiles on Patrick Benn

Lady Luck made an appearance on an unlikely day; Patrick Benn hit the Lotto jackpot on Friday, July 13.{{more}}

Benn, looking rather nonchalant for the winner of a $293,000 jackpot, was presented with a cheque on Tuesday and said he has been playing Lotto since its inception in 1991, and will continue to play on.

He said he does not have any plans in mind for the money, but will put it aside until he makes up his mind what to do with it. His ticket, which was a quick pick, had the winning numbers 3, 13, 17, 19, 22 and 11.

The NLA also announced that the format of lotto would soon be changing and there is the possibility that Powerball will be introduced. However all games will continue as usual until the changes are implemented officially. (KP)
