The three-day workshop, which took place at the Sunset Shores conference room, began on Tuesday with an opening ceremony which heard addresses from this countryâs Minister of Labour Rene Baptiste, and the workshopâs facilitator Samuel Goolsarran, a former International Labour Organization senior specialist on industrial relations.
Inspectors are now expected to have a better understanding of their function, as well as the procedures for planning, conducting, reporting and following up on inspections.
Participants were certified at the end of the workshop.
This country was host of the second of four such workshops; the first was held in St. Kitts recently, with the other two to be conducted later this year and early next year on the topic of conciliation and mediation.
