The company has announced that in association with Hewlett Packard, they will offer desktop computers and laptops, at reduced costs.

Manager of Broadband, Internet and Data Sharon Cyrus, in explaining the latest promotion at Monday’s press conference, said that it was the wish of her company to make this country a part of the Information Revolution.

Cyrus said that the presence of Internet in most schools and community centres shows that the nation is heading in the right direction when it comes to Internet access.

According to Cyrus, because of the affordable prices of their computers, the new promotion will make sure no one will be left behind.

In other Cable & Wireless news, the company’s one month Internet Summer School got started on Monday at the company’s office at Arnos Vale.

Over 300 children from age seven to 18 will benefit from the sessions, which will teach them the entertaining and educational benefits of the Internet.

Upon completion of the course, the students will receive a certificate of participation. (JJ)
