SVG making waves in the travel industry
The name of the game is travel, and St.Vincent and the Grenadines is seemingly becoming a popular participant.
Both âIslandsâ and âCaribbean Travel & Lifeâ are highly regarded travel magazines that have made mention of SVG in their July/August 2007 issues.{{more}}
Caribbean Travel & Life recognizes Union Island and Bequia as ideal yachting destinations, whilst Islands magazine makes mention of Petit Byahaut and ranks Union Island as one of the âTop 20 Islands To Live Onâ, among places such as New Zealand, Aruba and Dominica.
Minister of Tourism, Youth and Sports Glen Beache commented that mention of SVG is not surprising to him, adding that Union Island is among his favourite islands. He stated that SVG âhas a great productâ, but will eventually have to make the decision as to whether or not the country wants to accommodate mass tourism. (KP)
