Artists to show At Basils in Villa

An exhibition of original artwork featured in the CYAM Arts Festival Multi-media show in December 2005 will be held next week.{{more}}

Beginning July 12th at 6 p.m. at “At Basils” in Villa,

the opening, will include live music by the artists themselves, poetry and spoken word.

The artists are some of those featured in National Commercial Bank (NCB)2007 calendar. Brent

Williams, Maxanne Rock, Anizo Lewis and Collin Layne are all 2006 graduates of the Community College.

A release from the group says their work shows the connection with their heritage, and a sense of belonging to an authentic culture that is purely Vincentian.

Themes in the artwork are music, the natural environment, self portrait and local heritage.
