Public servants in a number of ministries here started the work week with new persons at the administrative head of their ministries.

Williams replaces Shirla Francis, who was in that position since December 2005.

Her new assignment puts her in the Ministry of Telecommunications, Science, Technology and Industry as Permanent Secretary, replacing Allan Alexander.

Alexander moves across to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, replacing the former acting PS Cheryl Biddy.

Biddy was placed on leave following an internal audit in that ministry which revealed some irregularities in documentation.

Speaking briefly to Searchlight about the “mini re-shuffle’, Chief Personnel Officer Tyrone Burke said that from time to time these adjustments become necessary as situations change.
