Kasaini misses out on computer

Kasaini Culzac comes off as one confident 11-year-old who knows what he wants and exactly how he is going to get it.{{more}} Had he attained the first place in the Common Entrance Examination, his aunt would have given him a brand new computer, however, instead he will get a Sony Play Station II for attaining the tenth position overall and third among boys.

With scores of 90.91% for English, 93.33% for Math and 93.53% for General Paper with a 92.47% average, the Barrouallie Government School student has surely done his family and community proud. Kasaini aspires to become a Lawyer and Accountant; he boldly states “I would like to have my own company some day”.

Kasaini plays cricket and collects coins; his favourite subject is Math and he spends his spare time with his dog Nubby and his best friend Akeem Davis who will also be going to the St. Vincent Grammar School next term.

Nyasha Gaymes gets most of the credit from her nephew for his success, “She always encourages me to do my best ,” Kasaini said, “I was a little bit nervous when I first sat down to write my exams, but I had studied hard, so it was not a problem”, he further stated.

Kasaini’s advice to other students is: “Study hard and strive for your dreams”. His proud parents are Lovina Culzac and Osborne George. (AC)
