Anson wants to become a mechanical engineer

As he posed for pictures with the air of a young man who is confident, full of life and bountiful energy, there was no doubt that Anson Latchman was on top of the world; as he should well be.{{more}}

Anson, with an average of 93.55% was the second placed boy and finished fifth overall in this year’s Common Entrance Examinations. With a broad smile, he said that he always worked hard and expected to do very well in the exam.

Anson, the only child for parents Clauden and Elspeth Latchman of Cedars said that his parents were elated when they heard the common entrance results announced last Monday 11th.

He said that he was looking forward to taking his next education step at the St. Vincent Grammar School as he pursues his dream of becoming a mechanical engineer.

While this desire, as it is with many children his age, may not be cast in stone, one thing for sure is that the little charmer who placed his arms around his teachers and fellow Georgetown Government School top performer Lafeisha Hadley to pose for a few more pictures, has that “something special” about him.

Meanwhile sixth grade teachers of the Georgetown Government School Alasbour Williams and Paula Blake-Toney said that they are very proud of all their students. (KJ)
