Riley man dies 11 days after accident near Peace Mo

Kelsey Plaugh died at 3:55 a.m. on Tuesday at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) prompting the police to intensify their investigations into the accident he was involved in. The 23-year-old Riley youth was struck by motorcar PK 93 as he attempted to cross the street in front of the Peace Memorial Hall on Friday, May 18, around 10:50 p.m.{{more}}

Riley was rushed to the hospital but he remained in critical condition until his passing. Police Officers including Inspector of Police Richard Browne of the Traffic Department and Inspector Franklyn Williams of the Criminal Records Office (CRO) along with other officers were measuring and taking photographs of the scene of the accident on Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of PK93 Ivan Roberts and his attorney Ronald Marks were also at the scene conferring with the police as they carried out their investigations.

ASP Browne told SEARCHLIGHT that pending the outcome of the investigation and the Coroner’s report charges may be brought against Roberts.
