When SEARCHLIGHT contacted the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) about the incident we were informed that Clarke was the second person to report being set on fire that day. O’Carol Lewis reported that he had been set on fire around 4 a.m. on the same day as Clarke.

Ricky “Jump- up” Phillips a Bequia man who usually runs errands in Kingstown was held in connection with both incidents; however, a police spokesperson said that Phillips is deemed incompetent to stand trial so he was taken to the Mental Hospital at Glen. (AC)
