At a brief ceremony held at the Kingstown Medical College last Wednesday, April 25, Dr. Andreas Reymann, honorary German Consul to St Vincent handed over the equipment worth some $10,000 to Dr. Ambrose.
The AED machines will be used as the first line of assessment and resuscitation for patients who collapse and can make the difference between life and death for a patient suffering a cardiac arrest.
Seven temperature control cases were also donated along with the AEDs. The AEDs would be distributed throughout St Vincent and the Grenadines. Arrington Burgin, a certified trainer will train personnel from the various health centres and hospitals in the use of the AEDs.
