NCB makes donation to Clare Valley School
20.APR.07
The Clare Valley Government School is the latest recipient of the NCBâs Focus on Educationâ.
On Thursday April 12th 2007, Lucian Allen, a teacher at the school received a DVD player on behalf of the school with great excitement.{{more}} She confirmed in her remarks that âthe school is grateful to the Bank for providing this electronic device which it will use to enhance the listening and communication skills of the students and improve literacy in the school. We shall make proper use of it and take good care of it also. We wish the Bank continued success as we strive to educate our children.â
Cheryl Rodriguez made the presentation on behalf of the Bank and assured Allen that âthe NCB is pleased to partner with the Clare Valley Government School in improving literacy in the school, as the Bank focuses on Education at all levels. Since it has been proven that teaching aids are important to learning, and persons remember what they see even more than what they hear, this DVD is a timely gift. We have worked with the National Literacy Crusade headed by Mr. Hugh Wyllie and are interested and supportive of all efforts towards the enhancement of literacy in SVGâ.
Inola Charles is the Principal of the Clare Valley Government School, which caters to approximately 200 students.
