Mystik Vibrations launches music video

Vincentians and visitors partaking in the annual Bequia Easter Regatta had one other reason to cheer on the weekend.

Bequia boys Enos ‘Raluv’ Peniston and Colin ‘Minkah’ Peters of the group Mystik Vibrations were on hand for the launching of the music video of their 2006 hit song ‘Ah like it’, at a fashion show held on Sunday night.{{more}}

The event was witnessed by hundreds of patrons at Devil’s Table, a premier restaurant located in the Island’s capital Port Elizabeth.

The video was shot entirely in Bequia, and edited on the mainland by local production crew Trans Video productions.

Peniston, speaking to Searchlight described the video as a reflection of life on the Grenadine Island; hard work and having fun.

The group whose album is expected to be ready in a few months, hopes to have the video aired regionally. It was considered by persons viewing it as ‘Tempo’ and BET material.

Also on Sunday night at The Devil’s Table, a fashion show put on by the Mije Modeling Agency was incorporated into the video launching.

The models showcased a number of pieces sporting Caribbean themes, and were also well received by the onlookers.

Manager of Mije, Jean Johnny Findlay, said that her agency was not only there to showcase the beautiful clothing, but also to support the group Mystik Vibrations, as some of her models were a part of the video.

She hinted that coming next month the agency will be holding its children’s graduation, tea party and fashion show.
